Ollie Watkins' Late Stunner Fires England into Euro 2024 Final

Ten years ago, the then-teenager was loaned out to a non-league team. Now, he's the hero of England.

Ollie Watkins described England reaching the European Championship final as the best feeling ever after his dramatic injury-time winner against the Netherlands on Wednesday night.

The Aston Villa forward came off the bench to score in the 93rd minute and send England into their first major final since 1966.

Watkins, who was loaned out to Weston-super-Mare in the Conference South in 2014, said: "It's the best feeling ever. I can't believe we've done it.

"We showed great character to come back from behind and win the game. We never gave up and we deserved to win.

"It's a dream come true to play for England and to score the winning goal in a major semi-final is something I'll never forget."

England will now face either Portugal or Switzerland in the final on Sunday.
