The Men’s EHF EURO 2024, taking place in Germany from 10-28 January, has achieved a record number of broadcasters with more than 100 broadcasters from 40 countries showing the 18th edition of the flagship event.

This represents a significant 33 per cent increase on the Men’s EHF EURO 2022, which was broadcast by 75 broadcasters from 32 countries.

The large majority of the 24 participating nations will have at least one broadcaster that will provide live coverage of all their matches at the Men’s EHF EURO 2024. In total, matches will be broadcast in 40 languages, with the EHF aiming to reach a potential audience of over a billion people.

In Germany, public service broadcaster ARD and commercial broadcaster SPORT1 will show all 65 matches live, including the official opening match, semi-finals and final. Both broadcasters will also provide extensive coverage on their digital platforms.

Commenting on the record number of broadcasters, Martin Hausleitner, EHF Secretary General, said: “We are very pleased with the increase in the number of broadcasters for the Men’s EHF EURO 2024. This is a testament to the growing popularity of handball and the quality of our flagship event.
