Kimberly Cheatle is the 27th director of the United States Secret Service, a law enforcement agency responsible for protecting the president, vice president, and other high-ranking officials. Cheatle is the first woman to lead the Secret Service, and she brings a wealth of experience to the role.

Cheatle was born in 1972 and raised in California. She earned a bachelor's degree in criminology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University. Cheatle began her career in law enforcement with the San Francisco Police Department, where she served for 10 years. In 2003, she joined the Secret Service, and she quickly rose through the ranks. Cheatle served as the special agent in charge of the President's Protective Division from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, she was appointed deputy director of the Secret Service. Cheatle was sworn in as director of the Secret Service on September 17, 2022.
